Understanding Our Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the H&H Alarms Limited website (the "Site") and the services H&H Alarms Limited provide. By accessing or using the Site or our services you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site and please let us know in writing that you do not agree to the use of any services supplied by H&H Alarms Limited. 1. Definitions • "We", "us", or "our" refers to H&H Alarms Limited the provider of the alarm systems and services. • "You" or "your" refers to the customer or user of the Site and/or our services. • "Services" refers to the alarm monitoring, installation, and related services provided by H&H Alarms Limited • "Product" refers to any alarm equipment or hardware provided by us. 2. Use of the Website You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may not use the Site in any way that violates any UK law. • Prohibited Activities: You agree not to engage in activities such as hacking, transmitting malicious software, or otherwise disrupting or interfering with the functioning of the Site or any services provided by us. 3. Products and Services • Availability: The availability of certain products or services may vary. We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue any products or services at any time without notice. Although we will always aim to give you written notice via email (please keep your records up to date with us, in order to be fully informed at all times. • Service Agreement: The provision of alarm monitoring, servicing or installation services is governed by separate service agreements that you will enter with us. These agreements may include specific terms related to pricing, installation, and monitoring. These are reviewed annually and in line with inflation, changes are communicated via email to all on our client database. • Installation and Maintenance: The installation and maintenance of alarm systems may require you to provide access to your property. Our technicians will perform their services with reasonable care and in compliance with applicable laws. • Unaccompanied Access: We are always happy to be given keys/access to any property without any accompaniment. Owners/Tenants do so at their own risk, and we will not accept any responsibility for any loss or damage that has not been caused by our engineers. • We love pets! But for the safety and comfort of all our engineer's, for reasons like allergies and or bad experiences, please keep your pets safely out of the way whilst we are onsite. • Our engineers reserve the right to refuse access to any property at their own discretion. 4. Pricing and Payment • Prices: All prices listed on the Site are subject to change without notice. Prices may vary depending on location, type of service, or promotional offers. • Failed Visits: we reserve the right to charge at least 40% of any agreed site visit cost and any related costs e.g. parking, tolls or permits, per visit, for every instance. We may use discretion for any genuine cases of failed visit and for 1st offences. The terms of payment will be the same as the normal service visits. • Damage: if in the unfortunate event that damage has been caused by an employee of H&H Alarms Limited, you MUST notify us of any issues within the same day of the alleged damage occurring. Every effort will be made to rectify any damage by the company in a timely manner and via the appropriate professional services should we admit liability. We always take photos of our work once complete, so any damage would need to be photographed and emailed once initial contact has been made, and within the same timescales as mentioned above. • Payment: Payment for products and services must be made in accordance with the terms specified on the Site or in the service agreement. You agree to provide accurate billing information and to promptly pay any amounts owed to us. The terms of your payment will be specified on any individual invoice relating to each job. Any late payments will incur further costs. • Billing: We may charge a one-time fee for equipment and installation, as well as recurring charges for monitoring services, which will be detailed in your service agreement. 5. Intellectual Property • Ownership: All content on the Site, including but not limited to text, images, logos, graphics, and software, is owned by H&H Alarms Limited or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. • License: You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any content from the Site without prior written consent from us. 6. Privacy and Data Security Your use of the Site or our services are also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Site or our services you consent to the collection and use of your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. 7. Limitations of Liability • No Guarantee: We do not guarantee that our products or services will prevent all types of loss or damage, including property damage, burglary, or other security risks. We guarantee equipment for 1 year (warranty)from installation, but any breakdown cannot be foreseen and although every effort is made to prevent premature failure we cannot be held liable. We will replace faulty equipment as long as it is a breakdown and not physical damage or things such as water ingress or environmental, up to the 1-year guarantee. • Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless H&H Alarms Limited its affiliates, and its employees from any claims, losses, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the Site or our services. 8. Termination We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Site or our services if you violate any of these Terms. If your contract is terminated for whatever reason, you or your company may be required to pay any outstanding amounts for products or services rendered. 9. Dispute Resolution Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or the use of the Site shall be resolved through binding arbitration, rather than in court. The arbitration shall be conducted in [jurisdiction], and the laws of the UK shall govern these Terms. We are proud members of the Federation for Small Businesses, who represent us legally should this be required. We endeavour to attend 100% of the time, sometimes this is not possible due to the above. • Warranty and Return Policy: As set out above, we reserve the right to void any warranty if the user is deemed to have mis-used or damaged any equipment, along with any ingress of water or environmental issues out of our control. Every effort is made to prevent these issues during installation and training is always given/offered where necessary. A one year warranty is offered on all equipment provided any servicing is carried out at the agreed periods or in line with British Standards and Manufacturer’s Instructions. • Termination of Service: In certain scenarios we may terminate our services to a client by written email with a time scale of our intent to cancel in severe circumstances we may choose to cancel immediately, such as for non-payment or a breach of the service agreement, the client will still be liable for any outstanding invoices up to this point regardless of circumstances relating to the termination of Service.
